No one makes you start a business. It’s always a choice. It’s not easier than working for someone else, and making money with a new business is far from guaranteed. Unless you have deeper reasons, why do one thing versus another? What are you trying to do?

When happiness is equal to pleasure in your mind, you’ll be chasing this so-called “happiness” every time it wears off. That happens to people sometimes. After a while, they begin to feel that there’s something wrong with them because they just can’t hold onto happiness. This kind of “happiness” makes a lot of people miserable.  

So what’s a better way to think about happiness?

One of my daily affirmations is “I do what I love and I love what I do.” I believe that, since we have to work, we should do our best to work at something we love. If we can unify the motivations in our personal and professional lives by doing what we love, we can create simplicity and harmony.
